When Adobe announced Magento 1 was set to be deprecated, it sent many merchants into panic mode, wondering what the best course of action would be. But not Flybubble.
As a specialist paragliding and free-flight equipment retailer and distributor based in the UK with a loyal customer base, Flybubble knew the best course of action was to aim high. So they set about finding an agency experienced in Magento upgrades and discovered Foundation Commerce.
One Step At A Time Approach
We developed a six-step process for eCommerce success for a reason – because it works. So our first point of call with Flybubble was to hold a series of discovery meetings, where we uncovered their business goals, objectives and technical requirements. This allowed us to eliminate any eCommerce platforms that wouldn’t meet the needs of their business and their customers, meaning when it came to presenting a solution, we had confidence that it was the right solution for Flybubble’s future.
Having built an eCommerce store on Magento previously, Flybubble were familiar with how the platform works and had learnt to navigate the back end. This had to be a consideration during our process, but we needed to ensure Magento 2 with its new features and capabilities would be the best solution. Following thorough analysis of the existing platform data, we suggested an upgrade from Magento 1 to Magento 2, but with a whole new site design and UX too.
Our in house designers and developers worked together to create a fresh new eCommerce store with a completely new look and feel and enhanced the functionality and capabilities of the previous store.
What difference did this make to Flybubble?
- Improved user experience
- A future proof site
- Technical knowledge to make informed decisions about the platform in the future
What Did The Client Say?
“We selected Foundation Commerce because they were straight talking, didn’t give any sales pitches, and we had direct access to work with developers (rather than non-technical staff). It seems that Foundation Commerce has the same mindset as Flybubble.” – IT Operations Manager
